Job Summary
- The Security Analyst will play a vital role in maintaining the security and integrity of our organization's information systems. You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security events, identifying potential threats, and implementing measures to mitigate risks. Your expertise in security technologies and practices will contribute to enhancing our overall security posture and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Essential Functions and Tasks
- Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems
- Design computer security strategy and design comprehensive cybersecurity architecture
- Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware
- Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions
- Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures
- Plan, develop, implement, and update companyβs information security strategy
- Educate and train staff on information system security best practices
- Analyst, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information
- Identify and define system security requirements
- Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
- Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
- Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents
- Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelorβs Degree in computer-related field or related technical discipline preferred, or equivalent training and/or experience
- Two or more yearsβ work experience as a System Security Analyst or related position
- Proven experience developing, operating, and maintaining security systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of operating systems
- Proficiency in networking technologies, network security and network monitoring solutions
- Knowledge of security systems including anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems and intrusion detection and notification systems
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles
- Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI DSS
- Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Security +, or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information
