Flying Wild Hog is looking for a talented mid to Senior Concept Artist to assist in the conceptualisation and worldbuilding for our upcoming action-adventure AAA project. Your expertise in realistic environment design will inspire and push the limits of a beloved AAA IP that is focusing on recreating real worlds, blending deep historical fantasy with a healthy dose of exploration and action-adventure. In this role, you will collaborate with the development team to design unforgettable environments that exude with cultural character, visual narrative and deep mood. Your proficiency in color, composition, shape, and visual design will contribute to the evolution of our distinctive visual style.

• Collaborate closely with the Art Leads and Directors, and core development team to drive and visualise many different themes within the game's universe
• Support, drive, and evolve the Art Direction
• Coordinate with other art, design, and production teams to help accomplish the goals of the project
• Inspire, mentor, and develop peers within the Concept art team

• Experience working within a AAA Environment Art team, as an Environment Concept Artist
• 5+ years experience in the game industry working in AA-AAA game development
• Portfolio that demonstrates an affinity for realism, artistic sensibility, creativity and craftsmanship
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and a high capacity to learn new tools
• Excellent traditional artistic skills with a strong grasp of composition, color theory, perspective, lighting, environment, architectural, form and shape language
• Effective collaborator and problem solver able to coordinate with Environment Artists and Level Designers
• Strong communication skills and ability to teamwork
• Experience working with IPs a plus
• Familiarity with 3D packages, and Unreal engine navigation is a plus
• Knowledge of game development pipelines, and technical constraints related to art asset creation is a plus
