Jobber’s Engineering team is looking for a new Senior Leader to spearhead the Production Engineering Team. Our Production Engineering Team’s mission is to ensure Jobber scales through performant, stable and quality software and is composed of McCloud (Site Reliability), Dev Acceleration, Backend Foundations, AI Foundations and Trust Engineering Teams.
Our Product Engineering team is central to Jobber’s success – focused on creating software that delivers value to hundreds of thousands of users around the world. As a leader in this area, you’ll balance looking at major priorities and objectives of the department with adapting to change, while not being afraid to roll up your sleeves and work on problems with them.
The systems teams at Jobber build tools and platforms that support the success of the other engineering teams within Jobber. They cover a wide range of technologies, from hosting infrastructure on AWS, to a shared mobile application platform to a web and mobile design system. Your customers are Jobber’s engineers, and your goals are to make them faster and more effective at using this specialized technology to build a great experience for our customers.
Reporting to the Director, Software Engineering, the Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Production Engineering will manage Engineering Managers and Individual Contributors to support and develop their skills and careers, as we work together to empower small businesses.
As the Senior Engineering Leader of our Production Engineering Group, you will bring your previous experience in developing high-performance engineering teams and contributing to department and company wide strategic initiatives, from the perspective of supporting internal technical customers. You will also manage Jobber’s infrastructure budget, AWS deployment, and the interface between systems teams and stream aligned teams as they work to accelerate engineering across Jobber.
You’ll work alongside peers from Design, Product Management, Technical Program Management, and the rest of the Engineering Leadership team to ensure the foundations we build help us build delightful software for home and field service companies.
At Jobber, we also believe that compensation should be transparent, fair, and supportive of your experience and growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $196,300 CAD, a midpoint of $230,900 CAD, and a maximum salary of $265,600 CAD, designed to reflect the progression from learning the ropes to truly excelling.
We design our compensation to reflect each new hire's skills, experience, and the complexity of the role, ensuring a fair and competitive salary. Our range is intentionally broad to support growth and long-term impact, with fully established hires typically starting around the midpoint. The higher end of the range is reserved for those who have demonstrated deep expertise and lasting contributions, while offers below the midpoint reflect strong potential with room to develop. This approach ensures that compensation aligns with both an individual's current capabilities and their opportunity for future growth.
