
Position Overview We are looking for a Senior Designer to lead design projects from concept through completion, contributing creative direction, technical guidance, and design excellence. The Senior Designer will collaborate with project stakeholders, manage design deliverables, mentor junior staff, and ensure the highest standards of quality and innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead design development — from conceptual sketches, design development, through to construction documents — ensuring design vision, functionality, and compliance with standards. Interface with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to define project requirements, deliver presentations, and manage design expectations. Provide technical oversight and guidance on drawings, models, and documents; ensure design meets building codes, sustainability standards, and project specifications. Mentor and review work of junior designers, draftsmen, and design staff; provide guidance and ensure quality and consistency. Participate in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control across multiple projects. Contribute to creative brainstorming and design innovation; lead interior and architectural design efforts for both new builds and renovation projects. Stay current with industry trends, materials, techniques, and design standards; apply best practices and incorporate innovation in design work. Qualifications Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related design field. Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in architectural/design practice, with proven track record leading building or interior design projects. Proficiency in design and documentation software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, BIM tools, rendering software). Strong design sensibility, spatial awareness, and understanding of materials, finishes, and detailing. Excellent communication and client‑facing skills; experience presenting designs to clients/stakeholders. Leadership and mentoring skills — able to guide junior staff, coordinate with consultants, and manage project teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and applicable regulations.
