H&R Block’s Financial Services team works on building and improving a range of financial products designed to meet our customers’ diverse financial health needs. These products include:  

  • Spruce: A mobile banking application 
  • Emerald Card: A pre-paid card  
  • Emerald Advance: A seasonal loan product  
  • Refund Advance: A free tax advance  
  • Refund Transfer: A pay-by-refund option for tax preparation fees   

We’re seeking a driven, action-oriented self-starter who can help us drive forward projects that let us serve our customers better supporting our efforts driving engagement with our local H&R Block offices. The Go-To-Market Program Manager will play a key role in supporting the integration and refinement of existing and future financial products with our offices. This person will lead implementing cross-functional projects, act as a liaison with multiple areas of the business and managing our resources.  This role will report to the Director, GTM, Engagement and Data and provide exposure to a range of business and functional leaders.

In this role, you will be responsible for working with the stakeholders across departments, disciplines, and seniority levels to execute projects to improve our financial product experiences in our offices. 

As a Program Manager on the Financial Products team, you will be accountable for:  

  • Build rapport, confidence and trust between cross-functional teams including Field Leaders, Product Managers, Marketing, and Support associates with the end goal of establishing a community of confidants and partners centered around the advancement of financial services in all aspects of H&R block businesses.  
  • Develop and implement annual enhancements to our financial product offerings expanding the presence in offices to improve financial product activation of our tax associates.  This includes the development of a formal roadmap of engagements, creating programming, enhancing training materials, implementing games or other engagement focused communications, and actively seeking feedback from stakeholders. 
  • Lead the programming for a segment of experienced field leaders (Financial Product Advocates) who have been charged with promoting how our financial products can help our clients.  Includes organizing monthly engagement meetings, developing a program for our high performing locations that may involve one on one meetings with District General Managers, developing planning playbooks, and organizing merchandizing programs.  
  • Organize our exhibition presence as it relates annual field conventions including planning a booth layout, ordering any merchandise, training associates on talking points, and engaging with our field leaders. 
  • Lead field communications as it relates to our financial products.  These communications can include developing newsletter content with product managers, creating and publishing materials for AMP (our internal website), and working cross functionally with Marketing to create client facing materials supporting the products.  
  • Report and analyze office and field performance as it relates to our financial products.  Helping to provide recommendations based on the programs successes as we move forward with our product enhancements including gathering and summarizing feedback from several stakeholders.
  • Work on multiple projects at once, sometimes as an individual contributor and sometimes leading cross-functional teams.
